Where would we be without Maryville Hy-Vee? They graciously host our “That Time of the Month” dinners, the third Wednesday of every month, and they help us get the best bang for our buck when we’re ready to buy product!

This photo shows Carolyn Law, Hy-Vee’s health care area manager, checking us out as we maximize our dollars — this is what $113 bought us: 428 tampons and 317 pads. Average cost = $0.15 per item.

We Gotchya member Jody Strauch will be documenting product usage in the campus Union, our largest distribution outlet. We’ll post again when we have a usage report!

We did it — We gave 25 period packs to Bayo yesterday!!

This Friday, they’ll be on a plane to Haiti and on their way to 25 girls at House of Hope Haiti.

Sigma Kappa, a Northwest Missouri State University sorority, “adopted” the We Gotchya baskets this month, filling them to the brim with tampons pads and liners.

We think this is the perfect way for women to support women. We all know that the old feminine product machines rarely work, and even if they do, who has a quarter with them these days?

The We Gotchya product baskets are intended to be a “take one, leave one” method of supporting one another. And, Sigma Kappa proved that in spades with their support!

Check out all of the product in these photos — baskets across campus were filled to the brim!

Notice that Sigma Kappa made signs to indicate their “sponsorship” of the baskets. We highly encourage this approach — let others know about your efforts and that you, too, have our backs!

The purpose of Sigma Kappa is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual, and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact our communities.

Thank you, ladies of Sigma Kappa! This project completely aligns with your mission!

Maryville’s Hy-Vee hosts a benefit dinner for us on the third Wednesday of every month, from 5-8 p.m. in the Grill area. Proceeds from the event are donated to We Gotchya efforts.

Of course, we can’t express how excited we are to have the support of Hy-Vee, and especially catering manager Sara Tompkins, who made this all happen.

At the dinners we hand out information cards (below) about our group and answer questions to curious shoppers, men and women alike! We collect product and cash donations, and also serve as a collection point for donations to House of Hope Haiti.

If you’re in the neighborhood, come and see us!
